Yes, Guglielmina is a mouthful. I was named after my Italian grandfather (Guglielmo), nonetheless, I have always been called Mina.
When I started University, I knew only that I wanted to be a teacher. In my first year I took a basic painting course and a beginner art history course and loved it ever since. I graduated with a BA in Art and Art History from the University of Toronto and Sheridan College. Immediately following my degree, I completed my Bachelor of Education and have been teaching Visual Arts to teens ever since. I find great pleasure in helping students find the artist within, especially the student who doesn't believe they have a little artist inside.
I like to do a little bit of everything, sculpt, print, draw, make my own pigments, sew, but I always return to painting and feel most comfortable with a brush in my hand. As an artist, I always allow my emotional/romantic side to dominate when painting. I enjoy beginning with an idea and allowing it to evolve organically.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
